Energy crisis help at forum for local business people
09/11/2022
The initiative should help those in business share tips and access advice rather than struggling on their own
Banbury business owners who are struggling to navigate and survive the current cost of energy crisis are being offered the chance to attend the first in a series of new get togethers, designed to help with the sharing of ideas and expert advice.
The “Making Sense of the Energy Crisis” forum has been organised by The Banbury and District Chamber of Commerce working together with the Banbury Business Improvement District (BID).
Its hoped the session will help business owners understand the Government support package and how to shape their business practices as they navigate their way through the turbulent months ahead.
Experts on hand will include energy broker Matt Lynas from Workplace Utilities, who help businesses of all sizes set up and renew contracts with energy retailers. Local energy expert Derek Hettenbach will also be able to advise on renewable energy and maximising the benefits from solar.
Neil Wild, Chair of The Banbury Chamber, said: “Too often businesses struggle on their own to navigate their way through challenging times. The Banbury Chamber is keen to offer this forum, with others to follow, to create a supportive environment with experts on hand to offer guidance both for the short and long term.”
The forum will be held on Tuesday November 22 from 5.30pm to 8pm at The Rustic Bean in Parsons Street. Tickets are now available for the event, which is open to all local businesses with free places for Banbury Chamber or BID Levy members.
