31/01/2024
Advice and guidance will be available to those facing barriers to career progression
Jobseekers are being offered a chance to meet employers and training providers at an event next week.
Banbury Jobs and Support Fair has been organised by Cherwell District Council and Job Centre Plus and will take place at Banbury Town Hall on Thursday (February 8).
Representatives from a number of sectors will be attending, offering insights into roles in education, care, warehousing and customer services. Staff from the hospitality, retail, and production businesses sectors will also be at the Fair.
Advice and guidance for those needing to overcome barriers to career progression will be available from support organisations such as Activate Learning, Wheels to Work and the National Careers Service.
Councillor Donna Ford, Cherwell District Council’s Portfolio Holder for Regeneration, said: “This fair showcases the wide range of job opportunities and support that is available in the district for anyone who’s looking to make the next move in their career.
“Meeting employers in a friendly setting is a great way for people to discover career paths that may not have crossed their minds before and could be the first step to a fulfilling new role.”
The fair will run from 10.30am to 1.30pm.
