Family’s display raises funds for the Frank Wise school
08/12/2021
Over 1,000 lights, more than 100 silhouettes and inflatable characters make up the Bretch Hill display
A Banbury family are once again providing festive cheer to their neighbourhood with one of the area’s biggest Christmas lights displays.
For around 20 years Steve Hill’s house on Bretch Hill has been lit up. This year it is illuminated with well over 1,000 lights, more than 100 silhouettes and inflatable characters including a Winnie The Poo, a Nutcracker, polar bear and Christmas tree and a couple of Father Christmases.
The lights are put in place by Steve’s son-in-law Johnnie and daughter Kylie. Their child attends the Frank Wise School and so this year Steve has decided to use the light display as an opportunity to raise money for the school.
The display can be seen at the top of Hastings Road and the end of Edinburgh Way.
The Hill family have set up a donations page here.
