07/08/2023
Deddington firefighters are completing the challenge in the Fire Fighters charity’s 80th year
Fire fighters from Deddington are aiming to raise £800 for the Fire Fighters charity tomorrow, as they undertake an 80 kilometre challenge around 8 fire stations.
They are aiming to complete the challenge between 8am and 8pm on the eighth day of the eighth month, during what is the charity’s 80th year.
The Deddington crew, supported by crew members from other stations in Oxfordshire, will be walking, running, cycling and rowing the route, which starts from Banbury Fire Station on Cope Road.
They will then head out to Hook Norton, Chipping Norton and Charlbury Fire Stations, before visiting Woodstock, Kidlington and Bicester. The final leg takes them back home to Deddington Fire Station on the Banbury Road.
Anyone wanting to support them with a donation can do so here.
