Flooding forces hospice Santa Fun Run to relocate to NOA
28/11/2024
Katharine House staff have managed to organise a last-minute venue change
This Sunday’s Santa Fun Run fundraiser for the Katharine House Hospice will now take place at the North Oxfordshire Academy.
Organisers have been forced into a last-minute change of venue due to flooding at Spiceball Park following last weekend’s storm.
Runners donning their Santa suits will now race around the schools running track, with those undertaking the 1.5km run completing three laps and the 5km runners attempting an impressive twelve laps!
Timings for the Santa Fun Run remain the same, with registration from 10am and the run beginning at 11am.
Parking is available at the North Oxfordshire Academy, but people are asked to walk or car share if possible. An overflow car park will be available at the Barley Mow pub.
Due to the change of venue owners are no longer able to take their dogs with then.
Katharine House Hospice staff have thanked the teams at North Oxfordshire Academy and Cherwell District Council for helping them find an alternative venue at very short notice.
