Four arrests following reports of drug dealing in Britannia Road

A closure notice has been put in place for the property
Following several reports to police of suspected drug dealing at a Banbury address four people have been arrested.
Officers visited the property on Britannia Road and arrested three males and a female. The female was also wanted for other offences.
Class A drugs – thought to be crack cocaine and heroin – were seized, alongside other items suspected to be linked to drug supply.
A 48-hour Closure Notice has been put in place for the property. This makes it a criminal offence for anybody not listed to enter the address. An application will be lodged with the Magistrates Court to request a 3-month order with the same conditions.
The arrests came as a result of collaborative work between Banbury Neighbourhood Team, Oxfordshire Proactive Unit, West Oxfordshire Neighbourhood Team and Special Constable volunteers.
A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police said: “Our neighbourhood priorities are set at our quarterly Community Forums and on each occasion drug supply is named as being an area of which our communities want us to focus.
“Today’s results would not have been achieved without the support of the community reporting their concerns to us and we would like to take this opportunity to thank those that do.”
