Banbury’s mayor says no one should have gone home disappointed
Solo musicians and bands took to the stage in Banbury Market Place on Friday for an evening of live music. Five different acts performed at the event, which was organised by Banbury Town Council.
Soloist Katie Wickham was first on stage, captivating the early audience. During the evening The Riveleros brought back memories with a session of 1950’s rock n roll hits. Others on stage included Rufus Goodlove, The Shades and Different Wavelengths.
The event was free to attend with food and drink stalls provided on-site.
Town mayor Fiaz Ahmed was one of those enjoying the atmosphere. He said: “Previous music mix festivals have been hugely successful and this year was up there with the best. There was a great line-up of great artists and no one should have gone home disappointed.
“The event brings people together and boosts the town’s night-time economy.”
