Students at North Oxfordshire Academy received their GCSE results earlier today.   With the return of pre-pandemic exam arrangements, 62 per cent of students achieved a grade 4 or above in English and maths.

Just under half achieved grade 5 or above in both subjects.

Molly Irvine is one of the school’s students celebrating today.   She achieved six grade 9s, one grade 7 and a Distinction.

Sebastian Hulme was awarded four grade 9s, three grade 8s and two Distinction*s.   He said: “I am happy with my results and looking forward to attending NOA Sixth Form.”

Another student, Millie Freeman, achieved two grade 9s, six grade 8s and a grade 7

Ellie Jacobs, Interim Principal at North Oxfordshire Academy, said:  “Our students have worked incredibly hard over the past couple of years so it’s brilliant to see them secure some fantastic results. With these qualifications, they can now prepare to take their next steps into Sixth Form and further education knowing what their efforts can achieve.

“I would like to thank staff for their dedication to our students and for the tireless support they have provided. With some strong successes this summer, we very much look forward to the new academic year, in which we will be welcoming many of our Year 11s back for Sixth Form in September.”
