A Tudor Hall student was named as one of the highest performers by the examination board

At Tudor Hall school over a quarter of today’s GCSE results were awarded the top grades of 8 or 9.   Nearly half were graded 7 or higher, which is almost double the figure for girls nationally.

There was a particularly strong performance in the creative arts with just under half of Art entries and almost a third of Textiles entries awarded a Grade 9.

One Tudor Hall student was named one of OCR examination board’s highest performers in Textiles.

Pippa achieved 10 passes at grades 8 or 9.  She said: “I am really proud of my results and very grateful to all my amazing teachers for their help.    I am looking forward to starting my A levels in Physics, Chemistry and Biology in September.

Headmistress, Julie Lodrick, said: “We are thrilled to celebrate our girls’ successes today; they should be justly proud of their achievements at school since the beginning of their GCSE journey three years ago, at the height of the pandemic. Their hard work has secured them results that enable them to progress with confidence to Sixth Form study and place them in a strong position to embark on their chosen A level courses, whether scientific, linguistic or creative.

“The majority of our girls remain with us for Sixth Form, and we look forward to supporting them towards their future pathways, which are as individual as the girls themselves.”
