Gift wrapping service at Castle Quay for hospice funds
03/12/2021
For a donation to the Katharine House the stress of wrapping presents can be taken out of your hands
If wrapping presents usually leaves you in a tangle with the tape or in a paper panic then the solution to your problems is available in the Castle Quay Shopping Centre. The fund raising team from the Katharine House Hospice are there for the next couple of days providing a gift wrapping service.
Anyone can take along the gifts they have bought to the area between Boots the Chemist and the Greggs shops and in return for a small donation they will wrap them. They will have a selection of papers, ribbons and bows.
Donations can be made by cash or using a new QR code they will have available.
Whilst most presents are of a standard shape sometimes people bring along challenges. Cherida Plumb, Fund Raising Manager at the Hospice , said: “A couple of years ago someone turned up with a big stuffed unicorn – a stuffed toy. Trying to wrap that was quite interesting and had to use quite a lot of creativity!”
The gift wrapping service runs today and tomorrow (Saturday) between 10am and 4pm.
