Gold medal winning athlete meets Banbury Judo Club members
12/04/2022
“It is a great honour to host international-level athletes at our club”
Team GB athlete Jemima Yeats-Brown joined the members of Banbury Judo Club at their meeting on Sunday evening. The 26-year-old fighter, who has achieved gold medals at European competitions, gave a class to both the club’s senior and junior sections.
Head coach Tony Partridge said: “It is a great honour to host international-level athletes at our club. We are all continuing to develop our skills and having an athlete that does this full time is a great way to spark some passion in our juniors and help our seniors develop their skills.”
Banbury Judo Club members train every Sunday afternoon at BGN School on Addison Road, with juniors meeting at 5pm and seniors (over 16) at 6pm. The club will be welcoming those who would like to learn more about judo through a new beginner’s cycle starting on May 8. This will teach students the basics of judo over 8 weeks.
