11/07/2023
Two boys repeated punched a 14-year-old boy to the head
A good samaritan came to the aid of a 14-year-old boy who was being assaulted by two other youths outside Banbury Train Station. They had pulled the boy off his bike and repeatedly punched him to the head.
Police are hoping to speak to the woman who stopped and helped the young victim.
The incident happened last Monday (July 3) at around 3.30pm.
Police don’t know who the woman was, but hope she will get in contact. A spokesperson said “We would really like to get in touch with her, to thank her for her actions and speak with her about the incident.”
Yesterday a 13-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of assault.
The investigation into the case is linked to Operation Jankle – Banbury Neighbourhood Policing Team’s response to the group of youths responsible for ongoing anti-social behaviour and offending in the Banbury area.
The good Samaritan and any other witnesses to the incident should call 101, quoting reference 43230294397.
