Grants available to help prevent crime and improve community safety

The money comes from the sale of assets seized from criminals

Applications are now being taken for grants in the first round of this year’s Community Fund, which offers up to £10,000 to help prevent crime and improve community safety.

The fund is financed through the sale of assets seized from criminals that cannot be returned to their owners.   Community organisations across the Thames Valley Police area can apply, for projects supporting priorities in the Police and Crime Plan, including protecting communities, people and property.

Eligible groups must not have received Community Fund money in the past 12 months.

Previous grants have supported youth programmes, road safety schemes, night-time economy safety measures and CCTV projects.

Applications close at midday on Monday February 23.
