Great atmosphere as Adderbury enjoys Day of Dance

24/04/2022

The traditional day of Morris Dancing started thanks to a 1975 revival

Adderbury’s Day of Dance returned on Saturday after a two-year enforced absence due to the pandemic.   The village’s two men’s Morris sides and a ladies’ side performed dances at a number of locations around Adderbury.

Hundreds of people packed the village’s streets to enjoy the atmosphere of the traditional day, which has been running since a revival 47 years ago in 1975.

A cake and jumble sale in Adderbury Institute raised £1,100 for humanitarian aid for Ukraine.
