Health Centre warns that COVID is affecting its service
05/04/2022
Multiple staff absences lead to a warning on appointment availability
A large number of staff being away from work due to COVID-19 infections has led one local surgery to issue a warning that it might struggle with the number of appointments it will be able to offer this week.
Banbury Cross Health Centre says it is experiencing multiple staff absences. This will lead to “a significant impact” on the availability of appointments throughout the week.
A statement by the Health Centre said: “We would like to reassure all our patients that we are working tirelessly to ensure any impacts to services are minimal, however, the consequences of a COVID-19 outbreak are not insignificant.
“Your kindness, understanding and cooperation is appreciated during these challenging times.”
For those that do manage to arrange an appointment the Health Centre is asking people to continue to wear a face covering when visiting the surgery. Anyone unable to wear a mask will be offered a visor as an alternative.
Banbury Cross Health Centre said: “Please support us in helping to ensure that we keep you and all our staff safe, so that we can continue to provide you with care.”
