The Quaker Meeting House in Adderbury only opens a few times a year
An historic Quaker Meeting House, which was built in 1675, will be welcoming visitors this weekend. Adderbury Meeting House on Horn Hill Road only opens its doors a few times a year.
Local Quakers will be hosting their annual public talk at the building on Sunday afternoon. Ann Floyd will be speaking about reparations for historical injustices, particularly slavery and colonialism, and how to respond to the current challenges, from a Quaker perspective.
Ann is a member of Jordans Quaker Meeting in Buckinghamshire and is involved in Quaker work nationally and internationally. She spent most of her professional life as an academic at the Open University and has longstanding African links.
The public are assured of a warm welcome at the talk which is free to attend. It starts at 3pm.
Adderbury Quaker Meeting House can be accessed using the path into Adderbury cemetery.
