Police seek the public’s help following the traumatic incident for the victim

A man exposed himself to a woman by the canal in Banbury on Wednesday afternoon.   It happened at around 2.45pm on the Spiceball Park section of the canal’s towpath.

The victim was a 62-year-old woman who was walking along the path at the time.

The man is described as white and aged in his mid to late 20s.   He was about 6ft tall with dark hair and a medium build and was wearing a hoody with the hood up.

Thames Valley Police is appealing for anyone with information that could help in the investigations to get in contact.

Investigating officer PC Darius Horton said: “This would have been a traumatic incident for the victim, and I would like to appeal for anyone with any information to come forward.

“If you saw this happen, or if you have any information which you think could help our investigation, please contact us.”

A separate incident of indecent exposure occurred in Spiceball Park on Saturday three weeks ago (March 19).   That incident happened at around 5.15pm in a woodland area.
