Local Election candidate names released

Voters will be choosing their councillors on Thursday May 1
The names of the people standing in the elections for Oxfordshire County Council and West Northamptonshire Council on May 1 have been released.
The Conservatives, Greens, Labour and Liberal Democrats are fielding candidates in all the wards in our area. Reform UK are also standing everywhere apart from in the Banbury Grimsbury & Castle ward.
A number of independent candidates are standing across the area.
Elections are also taking place to election three Cherwell District Council councillors for the Banbury Cross and Neithrop ward, Banbury Grimsbury and Hightown, and Deddington. In these cases the main parties are represented, but Reform UK haven’t put forward any candidates.
Voting will also take place on May 1 for seats on Brackley Town Council and a number of parish councils.
