Local plumber into the National Heating Installer Awards finals

Mark Hall wowed the judges with his expertise, problem solving skills and commitment to customer satisfaction
A Banbury plumber has been crowned the regional winner for the south-east in the 2023 National Heating Installer Awards. Mark Hall is now up against other regional winners to find out if he will be named as the national winner.
Mark works with his father Steve at SMH Gas Specialist Ltd.
A panel of technical industry judges assessed award applicants from across the region during a judging day. Mark wowed the judges with his professional expertise, problem solving skills and commitment to customer satisfaction.
He had submitted details of a project he was particularly proud of, which involved a plant area redesign, transforming it from an unsafe and inefficient installation into a well-designed, practical and safe and energy-efficient system.
Following news of his award Mark said: “I’m really excited to have won the regional award for the South East, especially for such a unique project. It feels great to have my work recognised by such established industry professionals, and take home this award against such incredible installers in the region.”
Now in their eighth year, the National Heating Installer Awards recognise the achievements and raise the credibility of plumbers and heating installers across the country who deliver excellent customer service on a daily basis.
The overall national winner will be selected from all those who were successful in the regions, with the announcement being made on June 28 at the Installer Show 2023 – the UK’s national plumbing and heating show.
