A 45 year-old man has been arrested after an assault at a business in Banbury High Street on Wednesday morning (March 29). The man comes from the town.
Thames Valley Police were called at around 11.45am.
The man was arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, theft, assault of an emergency worker and criminal damage.
Banbury FM has been told by a member of the public that a number of shops on the High Street temporarily closed and locked their doors after reports of the incident circulated between traders.
