Man arrested at scene of domestic violence incident

The man has been charged with seven offences
A man has been charged with a number of offences following a domestic violence incident in Banbury on Tuesday. The attack was still ongoing as Thames Valley Police arrived at the scene.
Officers discovered the man assaulting his partner. He was immediately arrested.
Following an interview whilst in custody the man was yesterday charged with a number of offences including assault by beating and non-fatal strangulation. Other charges included criminal damage and common assault.
He was also charged with two counts of assaulting an emergency worker and resisting arrest.
The man remained in police custody last night and is due in court today.
