Man arrested following knife reports near Banbury primary school

Banbury police have arrested a 36-year-old man in connection with reports that a male with a knife had been seen near Hardwick Primary School on Tuesday afternoon.
The incident was reported to the police on Wednesday morning.
Patrols have been taking place since the incident and investigation work completed, including gathering CCTV evidence.
The suspect has been confirmed as a white male, who was wearing black clothing at the time of the incident. Further details aren’t yet available with police reminding the public they are working on information provided by young children.
