Man charged following People’s Park rape

Faris Suleiman appeared at Oxford Magistrates’ Court today
A man has been charged with rape following an incident during the early hours of Saturday morning (March 30) in Banbury’s People’s Park.
19-year-old Faris Suleiman of no fixed abode appeared at Oxford Magistrates’ Court today.
At the weekend we reported that the victim, who’s in her late teens, had met a man at a venue in the town centre. When they left the man took the victim to People’s Park, where he then raped her.
In court today Suleiman was remanded in custody to next appear at Oxford Crown Court on May 2.
