Man charged with Banbury shop lifting offences and assault

The shoplifting offences took place at Banbury Gateway, Banbury Cross Retail Park and Hopcrofts Holt
A man has been charged following a series of shoplifting offences and an assault in Banbury.
A number of thefts took place in shops at Banbury Gateway, Banbury Cross Retail Park and Hopcrofts Holt between August 8 and November 6 last year.
Fifty-year-old Stuart Gordon of Middle Barton Road, Duns Tew was charged with seven counts of shoplifting last Thursday. He was also charged with one count of assault by beating.
Gordon was arrested on December 22 last year. He’s been bailed to appear at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on March 5.
