Man hospitalised after being assaulted by five people

The attack took place on Calthorpe Street
A man was assaulted by a group of five other men on Calthorpe Street in Banbury on Friday night. The assault happened at 11.45pm.
The victim was a man in his thirties, who initially got into an argument with one other male before being assaulted by the group.
He was taken to hospital where he was treated for significant injuries to his face and a suspected fracture to his hand.
Investigating officer PC Bethany Foster, based at Banbury police station, said: “I am appealing for witnesses to this assault to please come forward to help our investigation.
“If you have any CCTV cameras in the area or were driving there and have a dash-cam, and you haven’t already come forward, please check your recordings in case you captured anything that could aid us and let us know if you have.
