Horton General Hospital Staff subjected to violent behaviour over the weekend
A man has been sent to prison for 4 weeks and fined £150 for becoming violent at The Horton General Hospital over the weekend.
The 27-year-old, who’s name has not been released, was aggressive towards staff and tried to spit at police officers on Sunday (January 5, 2020).
The event happened during a very busy weekend at the hospital. With all beds occupied in the hospital some patients requiring admission to the wards had to spend long periods of time being cared for in the Accident and Emergency department.
Banbury FM’s Andy Green visited the A&E department during the weekend and saw first-hand the pressure the hospital staff were under. He also witnessed the appalling behaviour demonstrated by some visitors to the department. Andy spoke about what he saw on Banbury FM Breakfast on Tuesday morning.
