A man threatened a Brackley shop worker with a knife during a robbery at a convenience store in the town.  Cash was stolen during the incident on Tuesday afternoon (April 4) at the Co-op store in the High Street.

The man entered the shop at around 2.40pm and approached the tills.   Here he threatened the cashier with a knife and demanded money.

The man was handed cash before he left the store, turned right into Church Lane and left the area.

Throughout the incident, he kept a khaki-coloured coat over his head to obscure his face from CCTV cameras.

Shortly before the robbery the man was seen sitting opposite the store, with his jacket over his head, having approached from the town park.

Police investigating the robbery are appealing for any witnesses, or people with information, to come forward.

The suspect is described as a white man, who wore a grey sweatshirt, blue jeans, black Nike trainers with a white tick, and the khaki jacket.

Northamptonshire Police can be reached on 101, quoting incident number 23000203237.
