Snow is the perfect introduction to live theatre in the run up to Christmas for those up to 5 years old

The Mill Arts Centre is joining forces with Chipping Norton Theatre to bring Snow – an early year’s Christmas Show – to the area this December.

The production by the Oxford-based Tiny Light Theatre company is described as a magical, immersive, multi-sensory adventure with live music and puppetry.   The show will provide the perfect introduction to live theatre in the run up to Christmas for those up to 5 years old, with their families.

The story tells how one cold winter morning Holly and Juniper woke up to find the whole world blanketed in white fluffy snow.   They couldn’t wait to get outside and play, but only after Mum had wrapped them up and put their boots on the right feet.

Ceri Ashcroft, Artistic Director at Tiny Light Theatre, said: “We developed Snow pre-pandemic in 2020 at Handbendi Brúðuleikhús studio in Iceland and with local families in Banbury and Chipping Norton, and we’re thrilled to be bringing the show to Oxfordshire this winter!”

Georgia Bradley, Artistic Director & Joint CEO at The Mill Arts Centre, said: “We’re delighted to be working with our friends at Tiny Light Theatre and The Theatre Chipping Norton on this exciting Christmas production.

“Snow is a truly magical interactive adventure for young children by a fantastic Oxfordshire-based theatre company – we can’t wait to share it with local families this December.”

Performances will take place at Kingsmere Community Centre in Bicester on Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th December and then at Chipping Norton Town Hall from Friday 10th to Sunday 12th December.
