29/11/2024
Classes resume on Monday and the auditorium is back up and running on Thursday
The Mill Arts Centre will re-open next week. Its been closed after flooding affected the building.
On Monday all shows and classes were cancelled as flood water from the River Cherwell surrounded the venue in the wake of Storm Bert.
After the water receded work began to clean and dry the building with that process now well underway.
All classes and workshops will be back at The Mill as normal from Monday.
Performances will resume in the auditorium with the Christmas production of The Gruffalo next Thursday.
Tuesday’s concert by St Agnes Fountain has been relocated to St Mary’s Church in Banbury. Ticket holders have been contacted and some additional seats have now been made available for what was a sold-out show.
The Cafe Bar will remain closed a little longer until the clean-up process is completed.
A spokesperson for the Mill said: “We’d like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who has supported us: Oxfordshire County Council, Cherwell District Council, Banbury Museum and Gallery, Franklin Covey, St Mary’s Church, Connie’s Cafe – and our wonderful tenants and customers!”
