Monday evening Banbury road closures

26/01/2026

Access will denied after 8pm

Drivers heading out this evening are being warned that two major Banbury roads will be closed for roadworks.

The A422 Hennef Way will be shut heading into town between the M40 and the Ermont Way / Wildmere Road roundabout.   The carriageway out of town will remain open.

The Warwick Road will also be closed between Ruscote Avenue and Highlands whilst resurfacing work is completed.

Both closures run from 8pm until 6am tomorrow.

During the closure limited access will be maintained for emergency service vehicles and for access to properties within the closed section of road, subject to the progress of the work underway.

Whilst cars, vans and lorries won’t be able to use the roads, cyclists, pedestrians and buses should continue to have access.
