Morrisons staff taking 99,000 steps for seriously ill children
20/06/2023
Four members of staff are aiming to complete the challenge by Sunday
Staff at Morrison’s supermarket in Banbury are taking part in the 99,000 Steps Challenge this week, as they aim to take one step for every child in the UK with a life limiting condition. Four members of the team have been challenged to take a pace forward 99,000 times before Sunday.
The fund raiser will support the charity Together for Short Lives, which helps seriously ill children and their families make the most of every moment they have together.
Locally, the Helen and Douglas House Hospice in Oxford will benefit from a number of fun ideas running alongside the challenge. On Saturday customers will have a chance to play Deal or No Deal or the Wheel of Fortune. Money will also be raised with a tombola and a Water or Wine challenge.
On Sunday a Car Boot Sale will run in Morrison’s car park between 8am and midday. A car pitch costs £10 with vans charged at £15.
