No trains for five days
26/07/2024
The works will ensure more reliable journeys for customers in the future
The train line through Banbury will be closed for five days starting tomorrow (Saturday).
Bridge works will be taking place between Bicester North and Kings Sutton and tunnel works between Banbury and Leamington Spa. This will leave commuters having to use replacement buses on any route from Banbury or Kings Sutton stations.
Chiltern Railways is advising customers to allow extra time for their journeys, but added the works will ensure more reliable journeys for customers in the future.
An enhanced timetable will be in operation tomorrow afternoon and evening due to a Bruce Springsteen concert at Wembley Stadium, adding to the number of people expected to be travelling.
