Northamptonshire Police are warning people that their Force Control Room is experiencing an exceptionally high demand with 999 and 101 calls today.
The force asks that we only ring 999 in a genuine emergency. They suggest that for all other incidents it may be best to report it using their website.
A spokesperson for Northamptonshire Police confirmed to Banbury FM that the weather will definitely be a contributing factor to the high level of calls they are receiving.
