Odyssey Youth summer show “Sweet Charity”
27/07/2022
Three performances are planned for this Friday and Saturday
Young people in the Odyssey Youth Theatre group are preparing for their annual summer show at the Wykham Theatre this Friday and Saturday.
Featuring students who are in school years 7 – 13, the group will be performing the classic 60s musical “Sweet Charity”. The show tells the story of Charity Hope Valentine, a well-meaning but unlucky young lady in New York City, looking for love and happiness. It features classic songs like Big Spender, Rhythm of Life and There’s Gotta Be Something Better Than This.
Odyssey director Andy Aldcroft said: “We are thrilled to be back in the theatre again and working with such a talented group of young people. The show is so funny, and the music is fabulous.”
Three performances are planned, one each evening and a matinee on Saturday. Tickets cost £14, or £11 for concessions, and are available here.
