Open invitation to join Muslim community at Iftar

20/03/2025

Muslims are fasting during the holy month of Ramadan

Members of Banbury’s Muslim community are inviting people from different faiths – and none – to join them this evening as they break today’s fast and eat together at an Iftar.

Muslims around the world are currently fasting between sunrise and sunset as part of the holy month of Ramadan.

Organised by the Sunrise Multicultural Project in Britannia Road, non-muslims will be able to share food and learn more about what happens at a mosque.  Former Banbury Town Mayor Fiaz Ahmed will lead the call to prayer which guests are also invited to watch.

The Iftar starts at 5.45pm and everyone is welcome.
