Police say no one was hurt but it could have been far worse

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses after a moving vehicle was shot at with a pellet gun in Banbury.

The incident happened at around 3.50pm last Wednesday (June 11), when a Vauxhall Zafira was travelling along Easington Road. A pellet was fired through an open window of the car.   It ricocheted around the inside and struck a passenger on the leg.

Fortunately, no one was injured, but police say the incident could have had far more serious consequences.

An appeal for information, CCTV or dash-cam footage from the area at the time has been made.   Anyone who can help is urged to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 43250288864.
