Passenger seriously injured following M40 crash

A black Jaguar and a blue Mercedes collided on the northbound carriageway

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following a collision on the northbound M40 approaching Banbury, which left a passenger seriously injured.

The incident happened at around 12.37pm last Thursday lunchtime (August 14) between junctions 10 and 11, when a black Jaguar and a blue Mercedes collided on the northbound carriageway.

A passenger in the Mercedes sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Investigating officer PC Kate Young, of the Roads Policing Unit, urged anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward.

She said: “I would ask that anyone who was in or near the area in which this collision took place, to get in touch with us if you saw anything or have any information.

“If any motorists in the area that have dash cam footage, please check if it has captured anything as it could help our investigation.
