The B1 and B2 services will now call at the village during weekdays

People living in Evenley will now be able to make use of a bus service for the local communities between Buckingham and Brackley.

The routes for the B1 and B2 services have been amended so they now also serve the village during the daytime, Monday to Friday.

The route, between Buckingham and Brackley, travels via places such as Water Stratford, Westbury, Turweston and Little Tingewick, with Evenley now added to that.

The improved bus service is contracted by Buckinghamshire Council using their developer funding, with a contribution from West Northamptonshire Council’s Bus Service Improvement funding.

Councillor Phil Larratt, West Northamptonshire Council’s Cabinet Member for Highways and Transport, said: “It is great news that residents within the village of Evenley and surrounding area can now use the bus to travel to neighbouring towns and villages.

“We want to encourage as many people as possible to use our bus services to get around for work and leisure and we are committed to working closely with partners to continue to improve our offering.”

The bus service is operated by Red Rose Travel.
