People urged to stay away from skatepark to avoid further delays to repairs

Trespassers could add further delays to the repairs
Work to rectify the problems at Brackley’s new Skatepark have been delayed due to poor weather conditions – and people breaking in to the closed off facility could hinder progress and further delay the reopening.
Brackley Town Council closed the skatepark in September after an inspection found glass and other potentially dangerous debris in the topsoil surrounding the facility. It had been hoped that the skatepark would reopen by October 5.
Its now anticipated the Council’s contractor, Maverick, will – weather permitting – return next week to continue their work to fix the problems. But the Council warns that the park must remain closed as the ground needs to be left undisturbed to settle and dry.
A spokesperson for Brackley Town Council said: “Although we understand the excitement about using the park, continued break-ins will only delay the reopening further and hinder progress.
“Please stay out, the park and the surrounding area has been fenced off and clearly signposted.”
