Person loses life on train line between Banbury and Oxford

The incident is not being treated as suspicious
A person lost their life on the train line between Banbury and Oxford earlier today (Monday).
Cross Country trains announced at around 9.30am that the emergency services were dealing with an incident and all lines were blocked.
British Transport Police and paramedics had been called to the tracks near Yarnton ten minutes earlier, following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
Sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
The line reopened around 12.20 this lunchtime.
