Site visits at key locations will happen both day and night

Officers from Northamptonshire Police’s Rural Crime Team are upping their patrols at key locations across the county following a cable theft.

The incident happened on March 4 at the Anglian Water Treatment site in Silverstone when a quantity of cable was stolen.

As a result patrols at key locations across the county will be increased as they work in partnership with the site owners to reduce theft.

PC Hutch Hutchings from Northamptonshire Police said: “Our teams will be attending these sites both day and night and reporting any change to the site owners in a bid to raise security and prevent the opportunity for criminals to hit.
