Power cut takes out supplies in parts of Grimsbury
16/10/2023
The outage is due to a problem on the underground network
A number of properties in Grimsbury area of Banbury have been without electricity this morning.
Power was lost at 1.46am with around 97 homes and businesses in the OX16 4 area affected. This includes properties off the Overthorpe Road and on the Thorpe Way Industrial Estate.
It was originally anticipated that the fault would be fixed by 5am, with engineers beginning work on the problem just after 3 o’clock.
However, by 6am it was confirmed that the loss of electricity was due to a problem on the underground network, which would take until midday to resolve.
