Puritans water tank appeal after “massive setback” ahead of the new season

The grounds team have been left with no way to water the re-laid pitch

On the day newly laid grass really needs watering the grounds team at Banbury United are facing the prospect of no working supply for the pitch at Station Approach.

They arrived this morning (Monday) to discover their water tank had burst, after succumbing to corrosion.

This has left the grounds team without a working water supply for the newly re-laid pitch.

In the wake of what they have described as “a serious and massive setback” a GoFundMe page has been created, aiming to bring in money to help replace the old water tank.   Its anticipated this will cost around £5,000.
