The first team manager joined the club last June
Banbury United have parted company with men’s first team manager Mark Jones.
The club have confirmed that Jones left his post today.
A spokesperson for the club said: “Mark’s commitment and dedication to Banbury United have never been in question and we would like to sincerely thank him for his contribution to the Club. He took on and delivered the daunting task of recruiting a squad almost from scratch over last summer.
“However, recent results and the current league position meant this difficult decision had to be taken.
“We wish Mark well for his future in the game.”
Mark Jones joined the Puritans in June last year.
The appointment of the former Oxford City boss came just under two weeks after Andy Whing resigned as the club’s first team manager.
