Reminder for Brackley dog owners to clear up after their animal
02/08/2022
Whilst most people are responsible, Love Parks Week is a good time to remind all dog owners
Brackley Town Council is using Love Parks Week as an opportunity to remind dog owners to clear up after their animal using the “bag it and bin it” approach to dog fouling.
The Town Council provides over 70 dog waste bins located at open spaces, parks and footpaths. These are emptied on a weekly basis. People can also use normal litter bins or their own domestic waste.
Anyone who fails to clear up after their dog in Brackley could be issued with a Fixed Penalty Notice of up to £100. If the case is taken to court the costs for the owner or person in charge of the animal can rise up to £1,000.
A spokesperson said: “We know that the vast majority of dog owners in the town are responsible. It is not very often we have to remind and ask our residents, but please remember to ‘bag it and bin it’ whilst out on your dog walks.
“Clearing up after your dog helps to prevent the spread of diseases that can affect not only dogs, but people too. There is no excuse to leave it.”
Love Parks Week runs until this Friday and gives people a chance to shout about the green spaces they love within their town.

Please remember the cricket club for reminders. At both ends. Thanks
