Rick Wakeman announced for Cropredy 2024 as tickets go on sale
11/12/2023
Trevor Horn, Focus and Eddi Reader will also appear
We may still be on the countdown to Christmas but for local festival goers today is a big day as tickets for next year’s Cropredy Festival have gone on sale. Cropredy 2024 will run from August 8 to 10.
A three-day ticket costs £165, with the price for youngsters aged 12 to 17 reduced to £80. The festival continues to be free to children under the age of 12.
For the first 1,000 people placing orders the purchaser can expect a Cropredy Christmas Card signed by the members of Fairport Convention arriving in the post.
A list of artists booked to appear on the bill has also been released.
Rick Wakeman and The English Rock Ensemble will headline Thursday night. The former member of Yes last appeared at Cropredy in 2010.
On Friday night The Trevor Horn Band will bring the day to an end. Trevor is one of the most influential producers in popular music and the man behind hits from Buggles and Frankie Goes to Hollywood, amongst others.
Others in this year’s lineup include Focus and three times Brit Award winner Eddi Reader. The Scottish singer-songwriter has ten critically acclaimed solo albums to her name and is also known for her work as the lead singer with the band Fairground Attraction.
Fairport Convention will open the festival with an acoustic set and close it in their traditional Saturday headlining slot.
