Robber told Banbury shop staff he had a gun

Cash was taken during the incident at the Co-op on Ferriston
A man demanded money and told staff in a Banbury shop he had a gun during a robbery on Sunday evening (August 21). An investigation is now underway after the incident at the Co-op on Ferriston.
Despite the threat no weapon was seen during the incident.
The man entered the shop at around 8.10pm. He left with around £185 in cash.
Its believed that he ran off in the direction of Glyndebourne Gardens and into Banesberie Close.
The offender was wearing black motorcycle clothing including a full-face crash helmet.
Investigating officer, Detective Constable Sam Buzzard, based at Banbury police station, said: “I am appealing for any witnesses to this incident to please come forward.
“If you have any CCTV footage in the area or any dash-cam footage if you were driving in the area around the time, I’d also ask that you check any recordings in case it has captured something that could assist our investigation.
