Rotarians support charity which helps children affected by parental imprisonment

The money was raised at the “Children Singing for Children” concerts last November
A cheque for £1,300 has been presented by Banbury Rotary Club to the charity Children Heard and Seen.
They work to address the challenges faced by children who have a parent in prison and are at risk of following in their parents’ footsteps. The charity offers targeted support using a range of initiatives, including mentoring and peer and parental support.
James Ottley from Children Heard and Seen received the donation. He told Rotarians: “The work of our charity drastically reduces the likelihood of children with a parent in prison also becoming offenders.”
The donation was one of several made to local good causes from the proceeds of the Rotary Club’s “Children Singing for Children” concerts last November. 180 children from 24 schools sang at St Mary’s Church in Banbury over several nights.
