Rotarians to bring festive cheer and raise festive cash in the run-up to Christmas

Cash collected at the supermarkets will go to local charities and the elderly, vulnerable and homeless
The sounds of a street organ will greet shoppers at a number of Banbury supermarkets over the next few weekends, as members of Banbury Rotary Club bring some festive cheer and collect money for local charities.
A team of club volunteers will be at Morrison’s tomorrow (Saturday) and Tesco on Sunday.
Other dates lined up include Morrisons (15th), Sainsbury’s (21st), Tesco (22nd) and Sainsbury’s on Christmas Eve. Funds raised will support the work of Katharine House, Social Eyes and RVS Dementia.
A special event at Sainsbury’s a week tomorrow (December 14) raise money to buy vouchers for the elderly, vulnerable and homeless. Around 200 people will receive £30 vouchers, distributed by agencies such as Age UK, HomeStart, Royal Voluntary Service, Banbury Family Solutions and The Sunshine Centre.
Banbury Rotary Club has organised collections every year for the last six years with over twenty Rotarians volunteering their time to help.
