Run down Banbury car park transformed from this…
19/01/2024
Litter has been cleared, vegetation cut back and signs tidied up
A Banbury car park has been given a makeover, bringing an additional twenty spaces back into use and helping improve the appearance of the area.
Banbury BID pushed for the transformation of the parking facility in George Street, working with the land owner and the property management company which oversees the site.
The carpark had fallen into a state of despair, becoming a source of frustration for users and left a negative impression for passers-by.
Now the litter has been cleared, vegetation cut back and signs tidied up.
Karl Newholm from Banbury BID led the project. He said: “I am thrilled to have been given the opportunity to spearhead this transformation. It would not have been possible without the property maintenance company and the approval of the landowner. I am immensely proud of what we have achieved and grateful for the work they have done.”
One regular user, who’s parked in the car park for twenty years told the Banbury BID team they couldn’t believe the difference and were grateful to all those involved for their hard work.
